We took the existing house, “cut” it in two pieces and tilted one of them. This created a floor plan with a more private zone and a more public zone inside. In addition it made a great outdoor terrace protected from the wind in an normally very windy place. Not to mention the view.

Because of laws and regulations it is not possible to build the house too close to the water. Instead we decided to bring the water to the house. A long sea water pool allows the house to have water access even from a distance.

A 60 meter long boardwalk runs along the nature pool and creates a divide between boats and swimmers.

We have design an additional floor to be placed on top of the original one story house. The inspiration came from a piano with its black and white features. The black “keys” connects the original bottom part with the new top floor.
