Codesign has been contracted to develop and implement design concepts for Acando’s new headquarters in downtown Stockholm. The project covers 2,500 sqm and has six terraces with a magical view of Stockholm City Hall and the waterways surrounding it. Codesign first worked with Acando in 2014 when they developed the company’s current temporary headquarters.
The new project focuses on the different aspects of sustainability. Furniture is reused, reupholstered or re-coated. The new premises will be spread across two floors rather than the current four floors. It will also be extremely flexible and thus use square footage much more efficiently.
“We utilise our facilities in many ways. We need regular working environments but also want the ability to quickly create space for meeting areas, training areas and seminar rooms. Smart solutions should help us do this,” says Åsa Wahlström, Facility Manager at Acando.
“Acando is a highly engaged customer. Their team have done some solid groundwork internally before they asked us to join the project. This really helped us develop the concept for the new office,” says Ossian Badman, Project Manager at Codesign.
The office is expected to be completed in spring 2017.
